Experience

Amy Dow joined KM&M with the opening of the Los Angeles office in April 2005 and became a Partner in 2008.  Since graduating from law school, Amy has devoted her practice to representing employers across a wide array of industries in all labor and employment matters.  Amy has litigated a full range of employment cases in both federal and state court, including claims for discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations.  She has experience defending claims brought by individual plaintiffs as well as claims brought as class actions.  Amy has also counseled employers on a wide variety of issues, including terminations and discipline, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour issues, employment practices and procedures, and employee handbooks.  Amy has extensive experience conducting both supervisory and non-supervisory employee training sessions on behalf of clients covering a variety of topics, including anti-harassment and retaliation, federal and state wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, and business code of conduct.  Prior to joining KM&M, Amy practiced for nearly five years in the employment law department of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP in Los Angeles.

Amy graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  She then earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as casebook editor for the Moot Court Board.
