Experience
Michael Maizner joined KM&M in March 2004. As a member of KM&M’s entertainment, sports, and the arts practice group, Michael devotes the majority of his practice to advising and representing management clients in the entertainment industry, including television producers and cable networks in their negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with entertainment guilds and unions. Michael also provides ongoing advice on a variety of employment and labor law issues, including employment policies and practices, restrictive covenants, discrimination claims and issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act and other federal and state labor laws.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael completed a legal internship at BMG Music (now Sony BMG Music Entertainment) where he assisted in the negotiation of recording industry collective bargaining agreements, investigations of harassment and discrimination claims, and development and implementation of harassment and discrimination training.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami in 2000, where he majored in Music Business and Entertainment Industry. In 2003 Michael received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Michael is admitted to practice law in Florida, New Jersey, and New York.
