Experience
Roy Salins joined KM&M as an associate in June 2006. Since graduating from law school, Roy has devoted his practice to representing employers in the full range of labor and employment matters, including the defense of employment discrimination claims in federal and state courts, and the representation of employers in collective bargaining, arbitrations, and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. Roy also has litigated many disputes before the NASD Dispute Resolution, Inc. and the New York Stock Exchange, concerning matters involving restrictive covenants, bonus/compensation, U-4 defamation and customer complaints. In addition, Roy advises employers on a wide variety of issues, including terminations and discipline, leaves of absence, accommodations, employment practices and procedures, and employee handbooks.
Upon graduation from law school, Roy joined the labor and employment law group of Proskauer Rose LLP. Roy spent more than 4 years at Proskauer, representing employers ranging from multinational financial institutions to local non-profit organizations in all aspects of labor and employment law. During his tenure at Proskauer, Roy also spent several months working in-house as interim labor and employment counsel to Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
Roy graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with a degree in History, and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001, where he was a member of the Immigration Law Journal.
