Experience
Danielle M. Ellis joined KM&M in August 2006. She represents employers in both federal and state court and in administrative proceeding. Danielle has defended wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, breach of contract, and other employment claims. In addition, she advises clients on a wide range of employment issues including the Family and Medical Leave and Family Rights Acts, Americans with Disabilities Act, and wage and hour matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Danielle was an associate in the Employment and Labor group at Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP where she gained significant experience litigating various employment claims including harassment, discrimination and wage-hour actions. Her practice also concentrated in employment counseling where she counseled employers on preventative employment practices designed to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Danielle earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2002. While in law school, she clerked for the United States Department of Labor where she assisted in the investigation of orphaned pensions plans and advised both health insurance companies, employers and individuals of their rights and obligations under federal law. Danielle also completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor of Arts in 1998.
Danielle is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California.
