Experience
Kristina Hammond joined KM&M as an associate in March 2009. She represents employers in a wide variety of employment matters, including defending single plaintiff and class action claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, bonus and compensation issues, wage and hour violations and Sarbanes-Oxley Act whistleblower claims, in federal and state court and before administrative agencies including the Department of Labor, the EEOC, and the New York State Division of Human Rights. Kristina also provides advice and counseling on a broad range of employment and labor law issues, including employment policies and practices, reductions in force, corporate transactions, hiring and separation agreements, and other claims and issues arising under federal, state and local labor laws.
Prior to joining KM&M, Kristina was an associate in the Employment Law group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Kristina graduated from Brown University with an A.B. in Political Science and Judaic Studies. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006, where she was the Editor in Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and was awarded the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.
