As a firm dedicated to solving problems for its clients, KM&M knows firsthand that mediation can be a highly effective method of dispute resolution. In the wake of the go-ahead by the United States Supreme Court (Circuit City Stores, Inc. v. Adams), an increasing number of companies have established mandatory mediation/arbitration programs requiring employees to submit employment-related claims first to mediation and then to arbitration. Our experience as advocates in scores of mediations has led us to develop our own mediation services program, chaired by Maureen McClain, where we act as mediators in solving disputes between parties with whom we have no client relationship.
