Mar 19, 2021 COVID-19 Guidance

As of April 1, 2021, Quarantine No Longer Mandatory for Domestic Travel to New York

As reported here, on March 11, 2021, Governor Cuomo announced that, as of April 1, 2021, domestic travelers will no longer be required to quarantine after entering New York from another U.S. State or U.S. Territory.

Governor Cuomo’s announcement notes, however, that the NYS Department of Health still recommends quarantine after domestic travel as an added precaution.

Quarantine is still mandatory for international travel to New York.

All travelers to New York must continue to:

  • Fill out the Traveler Health Form.
  • Monitor for symptoms for fourteen (14) days.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19 for fourteen (14) days (even if fully vaccinated).
  • Self-isolate if they develop any symptoms of COVID-19 and contact the local public health authority or their healthcare provider to determine if they should seek testing.
