U.S. Eliminates Covid Testing Requirement for Inbound International Travelers

As of June 12th the U.S. will no longer require inbound international travelers to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the country. The new policy applies to all travelers – including U.S. citizens, permanent residents and foreign nationals. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will reassess the policy in 90 days and reserves the right to reinstate the testing requirement in response to future Covid variants or case surges.

Non-U.S. travelers are still required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. However, this does not apply to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and certain other groups – such as children too young to be vaccinated.
