Donald J. Wolfson
Donald Wolfson is the Chair of KM&M’s Immigration Practice Group. His practice includes all areas of business and family-based immigration.
Since 1981, Donald has focused on advising and counseling businesses and individuals in connection with a variety of immigration-related matters, including employment and family-based applications, citizenship and nationality matters (including expatriation) and the interplay of immigration and taxation. He represents artists and entertainers, athletes, entrepreneurs, investors, students and trainees, as well as law firms and companies in the agribusiness, consumer products, entertainment, fashion, finance, cosmetics, beverage and hospitality, information technology, marketing, manufacturing, music and media/communications industries.
Donald is a past chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association New York Chapter, and former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service.
An ardent supporter and advocate of immigrant rights, Donald is a published author and has lectured frequently on immigration law issues. He is a sought-after panelist at business, immigration and trade association conferences. Donald has been selected annually for inclusion in the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers since 2003, and is also listed in the current editions of Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America; Super Lawyers; and New York Magazine Best Lawyers.
Donald received his B.A., cum laude, in political science from Syracuse University in 1972, and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1976, where he was a member of the Bar of Gavel Society and President of the Student Bar Association.
