Overview

Patrick Butler joined KM&M as an associate in February 2005 and became a partner in 2011. Since his graduation from law school in 1998, Patrick has practiced labor and employment law at firms in Washington, D.C. and New York.

He has represented clients in a wide variety of labor management matters, including those related to strikes, reductions in force, organizing campaigns, employee discharge and discipline, contract interpretation, collective bargaining, arbitrations and general labor management advice. He also has represented clients in numerous arbitration hearings, collective bargaining negotiations, and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. Patrick has litigated labor and employment law claims in both federal and state courts, including those alleging discrimination, breach of contract, harassment, wage and hour violations, FMLA violations and other employment-related violations.

Patrick graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in political science. He received his J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School in 1998. Patrick is admitted to practice in both New York and Maryland.
