New York City Introduces Online Marriage Licenses
May 5, 2020
For the first time in history, New York City is permitting couples to legally marry online, rather than requiring in-person appearances at the City Clerk’s Office. Dubbed “Project Cupid,” the new policy is scheduled to be implemented by May 8th, and will be available in 11 languages. Visit nyc.gov/Cupid or cityclerk.nyc.gov, to virtually schedule and attend an appointment, upload required documents, and upload the signed marriage license for submission to the City Clerk.
