H-1B Visa Cap Reached for Fiscal Year 2024

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced on Wednesday that the Congressionally mandated H-1B visa cap for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 has been reached. All 85,000 lottery selections have been made, and applicants who were not selected will begin receiving non-selection notices through their online myUSCIS accounts. Cap-exempt H-1B applicants may continue to file H-1B petitions and extensions as usual.

Employers who intend to register for the FY 2025 lottery should contact their KM&M attorney as soon as possible to begin preparations. Registration for the lottery will take place in March 2024.
