KM&M Adds Renowned Entertainment Labor Lawyer David Korduner as a Partner in Los Angeles
KM&M is proud to announce that entertainment labor attorney and executive David Korduner has joined the firm as a partner in Los Angeles. Mr. Korduner has nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment labor field, having previously held senior roles in several organizations on both the union and management sides.
Most recently, Mr. Korduner served as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Labor Relations at KM&M’s client Fifth Season, LLC, an independent studio that finances, produces, and distributes premium scripted series, feature films, and documentaries. At Fifth Season, Mr. Korduner provided guidance regarding all union issues, including contract interpretation and compliance, served as the company’s liaison to the entertainment industry unions, handled grievances and claims, and oversaw disciplinary matters involving represented employees.

Mr. Korduner was previously General Counsel and later Associate National Executive Director at the Directors Guild of America, where he spent much of his career. He was a primary participant in DGA Basic Agreement negotiations and drafting, managed internal union governance, and oversaw the Credits, Membership, Reports Compliance, Research, Residuals, Signatories, Human Resources, IT, and Legal Departments, foreign levies and the Tri-Guild Audit program. Mr. Korduner served on the Board of Trustees of the DGA Pension & Health Plans, including eight years as Co-Chair of its Legal and Delinquency Committee. Between his two stints at the DGA, Mr. Korduner spent three years as Senior Counsel, Labor Relations at ABC and Touchstone Television Productions, handling union issues across television productions and TV and radio stations, and one year as Senior Counsel, Legal Affairs at the Disney Cable Networks Group, handling production legal issues for the Disney Channel, ABC Family, and SoapNet. Mr. Korduner began his legal career as a litigation associate at Robie & Matthai in Los Angeles.
Mr. Korduner received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law; he has an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A. with Honors in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
