Premium Processing Suspended for H-1B Lottery

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will temporarily suspend premium processing for cap-subject H-1B visas. On May 27 at the latest, USCIS will begin accepting expedited processing requests for F-1 students (known as “cap-gap” applicants) seeking to change their status to H-1B. On or after June 29, the agency will allow fast-tracking of other cap-subject petitions. This policy is in line with USCIS practices during previous cap-subject H-1B seasons.

Premium processing is currently still available for current H-1B visa holders seeking to extend or amend their status.

We will continue to provide updates on any changes to the H-1B lottery and premium processing.
