Overview

Donald Wolfson is the Chair of KM&M’s Immigration Practice Group.  His practice includes all areas of business and family-based immigration law.

For more than 40 years, Donald has focused on advising and counseling businesses and individuals in connection with a broad range of immigration-related matters, including employment and family-based applications, citizenship and nationality matters, expatriation, and the intersection of immigration and taxation.  He represents performing artists and entertainers, athletes, entrepreneurs, investors and students, among others. His practice includes advising international law firms and companies in the agribusiness, beverage and hospitality, consumer products, cosmetics, entertainment, fashion, finance, information technology, manufacturing, marketing, music and media/communications, performing arts, and shipping industries. 

Donald is a past Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association New York Chapter and former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service.

An ardent supporter and advocate of immigrant rights, Donald is a published author and has lectured frequently on immigration law issues.  He is a sought-after panelist at business, immigration and trade association conferences. Donald has been selected annually for inclusion in Chambers USA, International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America; Super Lawyers; and New York Magazine’s Best Lawyers. 

Donald received his B.A., cum laude, in political science from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Bar of Gavel Society and President of the Student Bar Association.
