US Consulates in Israel Temporarily Suspend Visa Services

Due to the outbreak of war and ongoing security concerns in Israel, the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv have temporarily suspended nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services. At this time, the Department of State asks applicants with an emergency need for travel to the United States to request an expedited appointment and/or apply for a nonimmigrant visa at a US Embassy or Consulate outside Israel. Canceled appointments in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem will be rescheduled as staffing capacity allows.

U.S. passport services in Tel Aviv have been closed since Sunday, October 8. American citizens with urgent travel needs may fill out the U.S. Embassy’s crisis form online or call 1-833-890-9585 (toll free), 1-606-641-0131, or 03-519-7426 from within Israel.
